Movie In Steelbooks, DVD Removal Without Bending Disc

I have Terminator Definitive Edition and GITS SAC Solid State Society which are in steelbooks and was wonder whats the best way you guys have found to get the dvd out of these steelbooks without bending the disc ?? The locking mech is rather tight.

I find a crowbar does the trick.

No, but really, the best way is to contort you fingers into a claw shape and push 2 or 3 of the little clips with one hand in while using the other hand to remove the disc. You have to push in the top three clips at least to be able to remove it with any ease but they are really stuck in there.

Funny. The only Steelbook DVDs I have are Danny The Dog, Le Transporteur (both French editions) and Crank (German edition) and I have no problems getting discs out at all...

Its weird. Some of my steelbooks are fine - like normal cases. Others are tight to the extreme. I just force it (not recommended) and I have seen how much a DVD can bend :laugh: :rolleyes:

I don't mind the discs being well clamped in, as least they can't come loose in the case and end up scratched in the post.

True i dont want the disc coming out in the post but the clips in the steelbooks take the biscuit. I find the amaray case's clips to be more than enough to hold the disc secure but at the same time easy to remove.

I'll give Battle's idea a bash.
