Hi all. I have a fairly dated Ricoh digital camera which is able to capture AVI's. When I record them I have two problems I would like to sort out:

    1) Using the LCD screen, I can adjust the brightness up or down. When I playback the movies, if I turn up the brightness, I can tell that there is a certain amount of detail. But when I upload the movies to the PC and play back in Media Player, they are very dim, and I have lost much of that detail. How can I keep, or recreate, this brightness once on the PC?

    2) I have taken many movies holding the camera portrait rather than landscape. But of course the movies are then at 90 degress to vertical. How can I rotate them like you would a standard image?

I guess what I'm asking for is software that allows me to do these things, any help appreciated!
