    Grrrrr.....

    I have the following setup;

    Pioneer 868/VSAX10i/434 Plasma
    Monitor Audio GR20 x2, GR Centre, GR fX x2
    REL Q100 sub

    To 'fit in' with planned changes to my room, I'm facing up to saying goodbye to the GR20's in exchange for something that will sit on the shelving/cabinet unit that we're having made.

    Basically, this means a set of bookshelf size speakers that will need to be placed on a shelf not a proper stand.

    The obvious choice would be the GR10's, but I wonder whether anyone has any different / better ideas. Ideally, I'll be looking for an oak finish. Budget (luckily) isn't really an issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    If budget really isn't an issue, why don't you forget about shelf-sitters, and go for a pair of Spendor SR5 rears (about £1000), which come with their own wallmount bracket attached? You've got to take the rear speakers seriously, even if you don't have room (or whatever your design reason is) for floorstanders.
