I'm going to be shelf mounting my AE Evo 1s. I will be using some veneered chipboard shelves on heavy duty steel brackets, each speaker on a seperate shelf. The manual recommends using cones when shelf mounting and I intend to use cones with the points facing upwards and in contact with the bottom of the speaker. The flat end of the cones will be glued to the shelves with either "grab" adhesive (no nails) or self adhesive pads.

So, which cones? I've seen metal and wooden varietes and was wondering what you would recommend.
