Just a quick one, what's the recommended position to mount a set of surround speakers? I've got a set of 77DS (which fire in both directions) but my sofa is right up against the back wall. So should I mount the missions on the side walls in line with the sofa instead?

If i mount them on the back wall they'll be directly above me and not behind, if you see what i mean.

    thx
    Chris

For a 5.1 set up the surrounds Dolby reccomends surround speakers to be placed to the side, slightly behind the listening position and 3 to 4 feet above your head. I have 2 of my M7D's placed directly to my sides 3 ft above the top of my sofa with my rears in the middle, to the left and right of the centre of the sofa.
