just watched this on Region 2. This has to be the best DVD ever.
The picture is superb, the sound blows you away and the extras are superbly laid out. This will win the dvd of the year award in my opinion. (The films not bad either!)

Did you get the plastic case or the foldout cardboard collector's edition?

Oh and by the way, don't expect too many replies to this thread as Moulin Rouge is a film which has been discussed ad nausium on this site!
    All the best,

    Lex.

I've had it for about three weeks and still haven't watched at as I seem to be wasting all my time on this wretched forum instead of enjoying quality time with my Pioneer 545

Hmmmmmm......thats an interesting point! I wonder how many people actually spend time on here in preference to actually watching a film!?

In reply to your question Lex, i bought the plastic case. I hate carboard sleeves no matter how fancy they are.

I actually bought the R1 version when it was released last year and only just got round to watching it last Friday  .

Not really my type of film, but certainly well made and imaginative. The songs were funny. Would do very well as a West End Musical IMHO.

The R1 disc is going for £12.99 at www.futureent.com in the bargains area.

And you can check my review of the film and disc here

Just watched the movie last night for the first time and all I can say is thank God I just rented it.

    Very poor IMO

Sorry to all the fans out there, but it ain't nothing on the old Hollywood musicals :)
