OK, sitting in the pub last night triggered me to believe something isnt right with my bluetooth. By going to settings > connection > Bluetooth Link > Select > Setup > Find Me several of the phones could see me OK, none were able to make a pairing though, so I just gave up. However, whenever I went to Hands Free > Look for devices absolutely no phones came up, even though my friends were merrily sending stuff to each other, so their bluetooth was definitely enabled. Does this sound as if the bluetooth is faulty or is there another setting I am missing, like security or something?

One other small point, in the Orange manual, it shows a picture of a bluetooth led at the front of the phone, now my eyeset aint what it used to be but I can see nothing.

Any ideas on the above anyone?

    Hi,

If you want to send multimedia files via Bluetooth, highlight the sound or picture file you want to send.

Press the menu button, and scroll down to the "copy" option. Select this and your V3 will ask you to "Look for Devices".

Select this and your V3 will (hopefully) find any compatible handsets within 10m.

The Bluetooth led on the front of the phone is a cool blue and blinks on and off when connected to headset, pc, carkit, etc,.

    Hope this helps.

maverick177uk - just make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your V3 and WAIT !

Seriously, it can take a few seconds for the 3rd party phone to connect to the V3. Here's the Bluetooth run-down between a Motorola V3 and a Sony Ericsson Z600 :

    **************
    Sender : SE Z600
    Receiver : Motorola V3

    Motorola V3
    ------------
    -Menu
    -Settings
    -Connection
    -Bluetooth Link
    -Setup
    * Power : ON

    SE Z600
    ---------
    -Menu
    -Pictures & Sounds
    -My Pictures
    *Select picture to transfer
    --More
    --Send
    --Via Bluetooth
    ...... Searching ...... Devices found - Motorola V3
*Select Motorola V3 to transfer picture to via Bluetooth
    ........ Sending to Motorola V3 ..........

    Motorola V3
    ------------
    Screen now displays following message:

    CONNECTED: Z600
Incoming transfer - File Type and name -- from Z600
Press REJECT or ACCEPT as required
    -ACCEPT
.......Receiving : File Name and % complete progress bar displayed
-Now choose BACK or STORE to delete or save the picture

    **************
    Hope this helps .......... :)
