I have got myself a shuttle motherboard and i don't have the ice fan that came with it.

Its an intel socket 775 and it looks like the fitting holes are 88mm x 72mm, as i don't have any 775 fans, is this a stock mounting? Could i just fit a low profile one over the top?

I can't tell whether you're asking about the fan specifically or the whole cooler.

The answer is much the same though, it's non-standard.

Fans are square, 80mm is common but you could probably find a 70mm which might adapt better.

Socket 775 coolers use mounting holes that are 72mmx72mm, you can look it up in Intel's Thermal and Mechanical Design guidelines, here's the one for the Socket 775 Core 2 Quad: http://download.intel.com/design/processor/designex/315594.pdf
