Why do I have to sort it out, why doesn't she ask one of your sisters husbands who she actually likes? Oh yeah it because I'm living in sin with her youngest daughter and she likes making my life a misery . help, my mother inlaws Sky Digibox (Panny DSB40 I think) is slowly losing all freeview channels, first it was ITV1, then BBC1 & BBC2 and now ITV2 is also missing. She's reported it to sky who said there is some kind of fault with the box (which is what they always say when they don't have a clue) and for £65 they will replace it with a bakelite antique. She's apparently carried out a reset (using the power of her mind) and lit a candle at the church but still nothing and now it's my problem! If I dont fix it I'll end up having to buy her a new one Has anyone seen this problem before Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it or how to replace it cheaply (what models to go for, ebay or dealer etc?) Thanks
Poke her in both eyes with the coax!! Then she won't be able to see anything!! Check the dish has not moved. Check that the viewing card is not out of date. Take the card out of the box, wipe gently and re-insert. Good luck.
Cheers Dudes They all display as 'No Sat Signal' : The problem only relates to the channels mentioned Signal strength is very good We have just tried a new card supplied by Sky Any ideas, I don't think I can handle giving the Brazilian and I think she has her beady eye (yes she only has the one) on my sky+ box __________________ What do you mean it's soft!!!
Have a look here & here. A "Digibox Wanted " ad in the classifieds here usually produces several offerings.
How do you know the signal strength is very good? Don't take the readings off the signal test in the boxes menu as accurate, its only a general reading and is completly uncalibrated, I would suggest you check that her dish has not moved, the lnb is functioning correctly , and there arn't any tree's partially obscuring line of sight.
Just to add, signal strength doesn't count for much, it's the quality that should be good. The signal strength can be good when the dish is pointing at another satellite!
