Most underrated band/artist?

After buying "Echo Park" i cant understand why Feeder aren't bigger than they are.

Class piece of work.

Julian Cope is underrated, as far as I'm concerned. A lot of people I know haven't really heard of him (despite my best efforts).

I'm excluding Teardrop Explodes from this: his solo work seems to have been overlooked by quite a few.

Insomnia is easily the best song they have.

Quite a good live show, but generally average as the genre goes.

Most underrated band/artist has to be The Get-Up Kids in my opinion - "Something to Write Home About" is absolutely sublime.

Yep. On what is perhaps their worst album. They're ok, I guess.

As for other underrated bands - think I'd nominate A, Biffy Clyro and Incubus (hehe).

I'd put A in the same bracket as Feeder. They're OK, but don't deserve any more attention than they've got. This thread just shows how popular they are as everyone's heard of them!

How about 'A Perfect Circle' for the MOST UNDERRATED BAND award.....

2 quality albums, and not the intricacies and heaviness of Tool. Just great musicianship, well-produced, thoughtful rock music!

I can't remember seeing one of their videos or hearing one of their songs on TV or radio for eons.....

A Perfect Circle have released 2 videos, and within the right circles ( ) are pretty well known. As with any band that's going to be mentioned.

Anyone who's heard Tool has usually heard A Perfect Circle in my experience (that'll be the Keenan connection then)

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
Most people only remember them for Delilah and Boston Tea Party but they were so much more than that. Have a listen to "Framed" - one of my favourite albums from them.
Edit - It may sound a bit dated these days though !
