    Hi

Does anybody knows how can I safely clean the screen of my plasma

I mean to ask this question for ages and its getting a bit messy by now :)

And since we are at it.
How should I safely clean the screen of my flat screen pc monitor?
This second one seems even more far more delicated than the plasma screen

    Thanks guys

You need an alcolhol free cleaner and a soft clean lint free cloth. Good products are Klear Screen and Klear Kloths from www.expansys.com They seem a bit pricey but the spray goes on for ages and the cloths are reusable. Another alternative is Screen-Clene from AF, these are once only wet and dry sachets.

This is not a stupid question. I have been checking similar threads myself and inputs vary quite bit. Many suggest a slightly damp (water) cloth. I also asked Pioneer (I have their plasma) and I quote their precise answer here:

"We would recommend the use of a soft cloth only for cleaning the screen. The included cleaning cloth is designed for the purpose but we do not recommend the use of any liquid cleaner".

I do not necessarily discard the use perhaps of an appropriate liquid as Truffles says but this is just what Pioneer said to me and what some other people recommended in this forum. Truffles, is the internet link you suggested correct? It took me to a totally different appllication.

Overall I would welcome any other expert opinion on the subject.

    Thanks guys

Any idea how to do about the flat screen monitor.
Its surface is very similar to that of a rear projection TV?

I have an 18" LCD screen on my PC. I clean regularly with Halfords Glass cleaner since the day I 've got it in April 2001.
The condition of the screen is excellent. I never spray directly onto the screen but onto the cloth only.

Remember the diffrence with the plasma screen is that there is anti-reflective coating on it that we need to take care (not damage). Hence all these queries about dry, damp, water, special liquid cleaners.
