    Moses Jones, starting Monday on BBC2 at 9.00pm..

    The series is writer Joe Penhall's first original series for television, following his award-winning adaptation of Jake Arnott's novel The Long Firm and stars Shaun Parkes in his first leading role for television. The series also features Matt (new Dr Who) Smith, Eamonn Walker, Dennis Waterman, Indira (Torchwood) Varma and Jude Akuwudike, and introduces newcomers Wunmi Mosaku and Obi Abili.

    The story, told over three one-hour episodes, begins when a wave of violence hits London following the discovery of the bizarrely mutilated body of a man in the Thames. First appearances suggest a witchcraft killing, but the dark reality is more complicated -- and even more frightening.

    Assigned to the case are young hopeful DS Dan Twentyman played by Smith in his first television role since being revealed as the eleventh Doctor, and his senior partner, DI Moses Jones, seconded from Scotland Yard.

    BBC - BBC Two Programmes - Moses Jones, Episode 1

    It hasn't had a huge amount of publicity but it looks like this could be good.

    Cheers
    Bri

    A show that based on previews I could take or leave, Matt Smith not being enough of a reason to tune in but if it had been in HD....
    Would have liked Six Days, Seven Nights in HD as well but that's another aspect of the BBC's priorities:)

    Edison, pretty good action/thriller and looked good in HD, if only Five joined the party.

    You're welcome. Let us know if you find the repeats. It'll be a great help. I'm not even thinking about looking at what's on at 9.00 tonight on any other channels as it's bad enough already.

    I thought it was very poor and wil not be bothering with the rest of it. It didn't keep me interested, but as it wasn't on BBC1 maybe I should have known.
    If the Beeb had thought anything of it, they would have put it on BBC1 on a night when they haven't got anything else (most nights!).

    Hello there.

    Watch this last night. Think it could be a good story, it just seemed to have something missing, , also don't think the acting was up to much either.

    Will watch it again next week to see if it gets better.

    Cheers Holo:smashin::smashin:

    A much better and gritty episode. The hammer scene looked bad and really felt for the person :eek: - a least someone had the balls to do something soon after. Considering it seems the the bad guys number is only 2, with their leader who makes up 3, does nothing, why could not a group off people overcome them anytime earlier?

    I watched episode one last night. It's certainly good enough to stick around for the rest.
