Just had an email off xmcc with more details of the matches....... 1, JOINING SERVERS: from 22.01.04 XMCC support staff will have the final listing of team members in the clans (extracted from the website). 30 minutes before your game is scheduled to start the XMCC support staff will accept the friend requests your teams have sent to the servers (referencing the downloaded list to ensure only players in the clans scheduled to compete can join) - so your team should look out for the server appearing in their friends list 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE GAME. When this happens they should join the server. It is the responsibility of the Clan Leader to organise their clan into the team spawn (red or green) they have been specified to play in - remember these spawn points where randomly selected and are fixed for the duration of the game. Our MATCH is at 8pm on 23/01/04 2, STARTING YOUR MATCH: you have 30 minutes after the designated match start time to get your full team into the server and be ready to play. After this 30 minute deadline an XMCC support person will manually launch the game on the server - so MAKE SURE YOUR TEAMS ARE READY. In between rounds, your teams will have 30 seconds to collect their thoughts, choose their weapons (no .50cal) and "ready up" - the XMCC administrator will then manually launch the next round. EXAMPLE TO CLARIFY POINTS 1 AND 2: If you team is scheduled to play at 8pm GMT on Server XMCC1 then the key stages are: a) your team will see XMCC1 appear in their friends list between 7.30pm and 8.00pm, they should then join the server as soon as it appears in their list, you then have until 8.30pm to ensure your full team has joined and both teams are organised in the correct spawn. At 8.30 pm the server will be manually launched by an XMCC administrator. In between rounds you will have 30 seconds before the next round is launched. NB. Your server will be monitored by an XMCC support person for the duration of your game who will log the progress of the game (wins, draws..ect) - we will then verify the results that you e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org against this. 3. MATCH PRIZE: Each player in the winning team will receive five Xbox games of their choice and an official Xbox goody bag. The team as a whole will receive an Xbox to share and will benefit from their own private XMCC server, dedicated solely to their needs for three months: > 01.02.04 to 01.05.04. We are also hoping for Ubisoft to contribute a range of gifts in addition to this list and maybe, just maybe, a secret special prize that will be unique in the Xbox arena.
