    Warning to prospective purchasers !!

My newly replaced DRMH30 seems even more unreliable than the first one I had. I have used this on twice now and it has locked up both times. The first lock up happened when finalising a disk, which it of course trashed in the process.
Since that I have recorded one program and it has now locked up while dividing that program (recorded on hard disk). It has so far sat there for 1/2 an hour with please wait on the screen. I know a power reset will sort it but that is not really an acceptable answer. Any bets as to if the program will still be viewable?

JVC say that it is faulty and i should send it back to the supplier but how many times (at my expence) should I have to do that in order to get one that work? At this rate it will be cheaper to throw it away and cut my losses!

Any product that exhibits faults within the first 6 months triggers your rights under S48 Sale of Goods Act.

You can demand a refund if you want!

Yes, you assume the "repair" option within S48 of the Act.

That's why I'm forcing the retailer I have a dispute with to agree the remedy in advance!
