More deer at Richmond

Hello there


Went to Richmond Park today to see how the deer rut was getting on.

First one is this portrait I got in the very dark woods.

Perhaps it's just me but that last shot looks like a "Museum Deer" - as in it doesn't look alive to me :oops:

Ok, This must be the easiest way of photographing pets, oops i mean Deer although much the same. I find it much more interesting hunting these down in the forrests of Thetford.
Much more satisfieing....

Yep :oops: - that's the first thing I thought when I saw that one Holo - and I can see it's breath too - possibly its last gasp....... or perhaps the curator having a smoke behind it ? :devil:

So you have managed to master the CS add dribble effect then ;):rotfl:

I think both those shots are very impressive. For the crop is just a bit too tight on the third but great detail.

Am over the moon with the detail I am getting with the new lens.

That 2nd one looks great in mono - very well converted and you've caught the light well.

The small black patch bottom right is a tiny distraction.

Didn't really notice that , its the light patch on the left hand side that bothered me a bit and was going to try and clone it out.
