Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I've just purchased some Genie speaker's and I have them connected to my Denon AVR 2805 amp.

I have the crossover at 80 Hz and all the speaker's set to small. Are these speakers ok to put on large setting? I read in the denon manual that if you set the front speakers to large you can have bass out put from the fronts and the sub. Not sure if this is right. Basically I like alot of bass and I wanted to know the best way of achiving this.

Was also slightly concerned that these speakers could'nt be set to large as it might damage them. Sorry this is my first home cinema set up so bare with me.

Ok,
these speakers must be set to small. They are part of a purpose built sub/sat combo and should be used as such. Their frequency response is down to 95hz, so your crossover should be set to 100, so your sub handles everything below that. You can also try 120hz to se if you prefer the sound.

Hope that helps.

100hz seems to get good results in domestic situations :). As Cable Monkey says they should be set to small all the time.
