    :confused:Hello,

    I was thinking of buying Mordaunt Short 902i or Cambridge Audio S30, which is best for AV setup and are they any good?

    What are the pros and cons between these?

    Regards

    I demoed both of these and there really isn't that much between them, must be honest despite what WHFI say I think the original 902s sound and look better and they are about £20 cheaper than the 902i:

    Things to consider - the S30s are slightly more expensive (when you look around on the net) and are a funny shape in that they are strangely deep meaning they will be harder to place/fit. I would say to my ear the S30 produced a slightly more natural sound, nowhere near as bright as the 902is but also don't go quite as deep either. I felt the S30s looked nicer and better finished, ultimately get down to Richersounds and listen to them both and see what you think - nothing to lose as they will price match anything on the net anyway!:thumbsup:

    Richer sounds had the ms902i for £99 in the sale, now they have bumped up to the full price....approx £150.

    However, are the 902i any good for AV - movie use?

    Yeah they will be fine for movie use, check out www.richersounds.ie and then price match them against richersounds uk - saving you a tenner on top in the process!!!:thumbsup:

    As Richer Sounds Ireland can only deliver to addresses in Ireland, I dont thing that Richer in the UK will price beat them.

    My parents bought an AV amp from the ie site and they delivered that to the UK no problem. Maybe they have changed recently?

    Just reading their T&C

    7. We regret that we cannot accept orders for and make deliveries to addresses outside of Ireland.

    was gonna upgrade my 5.1 system piece by piece.

    Popped into richer sounds cardiff yesterday to start with a ms309i sub, and they matched forumhifivisual's (cheapest i could find) so i bought the sub, 902i fronts,903i rears and the 905i centre all for £490 with thier beat the web challenge :thumbsup:

    ms902i
    Forumhifivisual.co.uk = £109.95 delivered
    Richersounds = Match it plus a tenner off = 99.95

    Yep, very good for movies, not quite so good for music.
    Very good and stylish for the money overall :smashin:
