    Synopsis

MONTY PYTHON AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Monty Python`s Flying Circus is regarded as a milestone in British comedy. This, their first feature film, is an anthology of the funniest sketches from the legendary BBC television series.

MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL
After a chance meeting with a rather irate and impatient God, King Arthur and his Knights of The Round Table, including Sir Bedevere, Sir Lancelot The Brave, Sir Galahad The Pure and Sir Robin the-not-so-pure and the not-very-brave-either are set the sacred task of retrieving the all powerful Holy Grail.

MONTY PYTHON THE LIFE OF BRIAN
Monty Python delivers a scathing, anarchic satire of both religion and Hollywood`s depiction of all things biblical with their third film. The setting is Judea 33 A.D., a time of poverty and chaos, with no shortage of messiahs, followers willing to believe in them, and exasperated Romans trying to impose some order. At the centre of it all is Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman), a reluctant would-be messiah who rises to prominence as a result of a series of absurd and truly hilarious circumstances.

MONTY PYTHON THE MEANING OF LIFE
Those six pandemonium-mad Pythons are back with their craziest adventure ever! John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Terry Jones, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin have returned to explain The Meaning Of Life. These naughty men offer the usual tasteful sketches involving favourite bodily parts and functions. The wonders of war, the miracle of birth and a specialpreview of what`s waiting for us in Heaven. Nothing is too sacred for the probing Python crew.

Hopefully, they dont give the 'sorry this was our error' email

Same here, have been thinking about buying The Holy Grail as I have seen it in Tesco for £7.99 but 3 other films for an extra £5 cant be that bad. I also picked up the 2 Disc Edition of Master and Commander for just under £10 so with the £5 discount voucher the total was less than £21 including postage, just hope I dont get an email saying they are out of stock.

There is a discount voucher available which lets each person have £5 off their order if it is over £20 but the site where someone had posted the code has removed it now because they didnt state the T&Cs

Not had any email telling me that.
I see although the cdanddvdbargains site link still leads to the £13.99 price a search on tesco's site shows the item at £33.99.
And now out of stock, even at the higher price.
Guess where this is going to end...

    Ahaaa!!!

We've been here before with Argos (Futurama boxset series 1, £10.99 - rrp £34.99).
If they **** it up and charge your card, its a done deal in law ;)

Argos made some wingy comments about it being an error, and sent emails cancelling the order (which wasnt within their legal rights as they had debited the card upon order (not upon dispatch :smashin: ).

Those of us on these boards who stuck to our guns got our boxsets...

Argos had to follow through (if you know what I mean). So if Tesco are using a similar automated system (highly likely) then if your order is in, its in! :p

    Just my two penneth worth...

Tesco don't debit the card and they have a proven track record of backing out of deals under the 'No stock' excuse only for the same stock to re-appear at a higher price later in the month. Paramount Anniversary boxset at the start of the year is a good example of this.
The upside to this is that they will still honour the £5 off £20 element of the order. So whilst my boxset is going to get cancelled the two PS2 games I ordered with it to take the transaction over £20 should come through with five pound off them.

Tesco also backed out on the Blade runner boxset mispice a few weeks back. Because they don't charge your card until despatch there is nothing you can do. I sent loads of email complaints but they just blanked me. Would never order from them again :(

I had an email from Tesco letting me know that my order which includes the Monty Python boxset will be posted out on the 1st September so looks like I will be getting it for £13.99 aswell

EDIT Very strange thing happened today, recieved an email at about 9am saying that my order had been shipped out by Royal Mail so I thought I would have it in a few days, I thought wrong. About 30mins after I got the email I had a knock at the door which turned out to be the postman with a big package from Tesco which contained my Monty Python Boxset and my Master and Commander DVD, talk about quick service

Got a email yesterday at 9am, the postman knocked on the door at 9:30am, 30 mins later with my Monty Python box set enclosed in a nice cardboard box.

    Cost me only £15.63 (£13.99 + Postage £1.64)

Its still on the Tesco web site at £16.99 + postage !!!! (Saving of £23.00)

    Great stuff !

Thanks Bluebear - that'll do me. They seem to be changing the price every couple of days as well as "in stock" and "out of stock" so I just grabbed it at £16.99. I wonder what price it will be tomorrow?
