Watched this the other night and I must admit that it's a complete bore. Don't get me wrong, I usually enjoy this type of synopsis but only 10mins of half excitement during an 1hr 30mins film leaves a bitter taste.
This is one I won't be investing in so 'I'm out'!!!
Since when was Cloverfield "raved about by the [...] arty brigade" ?I get the feeling this film is another Cloverfield - Raved about by the press and arty brigade but one i found genuinely boring.
well, clearly i do not understand this worthless comment. What did I expect from a forum where people rather discuss tin boxes than films ?
I actually owe you an apology. I thought you were being sarcastic. Sorry dude, I thought Monsters was great (and I wrote about it quite a bit in the movies at the cinema section).
Where is the best place to get German Blurays from? I tried to order a couple from Amazon.de and they wouldn't ship them to me.Here we go:
YouTube - ‪Monsters Steelbook blu-ray unboxing review‬‏
I loved Monsters. The US disc is best for extras though but I'll still pick up that Germany release as I like supporting that distributor (they did a great English langauage friendly Blu-ray of Enter The Void) and will also swap it on the AVF Steelbook® trading forums for a house in a few months time.
Monsters does remind me a little of District 9 and having seen Battle: Los Angeles that reminded me of Monsters -except B:LA its too long, rather dumb, silly and not as well done. Saying that I still quite liked Battle: Los Angeles although I don't think I'll buy a Blu-ray of it.
Monsters also wants to make you think about things in life. That alone will mean many people won't like it.
There's another steelbook available with an alternate cover design. I could post some pics if anybody's interested.
Thet've no stock, that's why.Where is the best place to get German Blurays from? I tried to order a couple from Amazon.de and they wouldn't ship them to me.
