Hi folks - i ordered the monster s-video ps2 cable from

    http://gamestore.ign.com/product.asp?product_id=801118

just wondering now if it will work ok with eurpean playstation 2's ok? They have a disclaimer on the site saying how their specifically designed for ntsc standards....

i'm going connect my ps2 to my sonly hs1 projector. I'd have used a component cable only that the component connector on the pj is a sony proprietry one which i'm using to connect my main dvd player to....

looking forward to seeing the improvements in video quality... especially for games...

    Cheers,
    Mick

Does the monster s-video cable give superior quality to the s-video leads from Game (i.e joyteck?).

I am running my PS2 on a 42" Panny plasma and with the current s-vid cable I get a cross hatching on solid colours such as red (i.e diagonal lines). Will this dissappear with the monster cable?

    Cheers

    Mark

    Hi Mark -

i've gotten the s video lead at this stage and it does work exceptionally well - i'm feeding it into a sony hs1 projector and it gives a very clear picture. I may be selling it though as i want to use the component outputs from my ps2. If you'd be interested in the monster cable let me know as i'll probably be selling it - it cost me 43 euro delivered so i'd do it a bit less if your interested...

    Cheers,
    Mick

Thanks Mick, but I've just ordered some component cables instead. Thought I might see how these look, now my only problem is when I get a component DVD player, how to connect both to thescreen at once. I think I'll need some sort of switcher.
