Just purchased Monsters "iCable to iPod".
Connected one end into my amplifier phone outlets and the other end into the iPod Docking Station Line out.
on Playback the sound is awful, it is very muffled and has noisy interference.
Can anyone help me, as I had read so many good reviews about connecting iPods to Home stereo systems.
Perhaps i am doing something wrong?
    Help. Thanks

What you did wrong is buy a monster product. They are awful. I bought a great looking philips cable from comet (3.5 mini jack to two rca cable) costing £9.99 and it works very well with my hifi.

Sorry this may be stating the obvious but have you changed some of the in-built ipod sound processing settings - if you are connecting your 'pod to an amp you want to switch any ipod processing off. Also you may want to look at reducing the volume level.

    Cheeky
Can you please tell me how to switch off ipod processing?
I did turn the ipod volume down and it didn't make a difference.
    Any further suggestions please.
    Thanks

    ahem - that'll be cheechy then? :D

You may have some of the ipod post processing stuff on like extra bass or extra treble etc. If you dont know how to do it then it may well be the case that none of it is on - in which case you are probably not going to get a better sound from the cable and ipod.
