Monitor keeps flickering...

Thought I would post in here since not much traffic in the other PC part, basically since I did a fresh install of windows my monitor keeps flickering and it is getting really annoying, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for my graphics card (Nvidia Gefore 520GT 2GB) still no luck.

Rather than asking it to be closed, why not say what the problem turned out to be? I recently had a flickering monitor and suspected my card or TFT was on its way out.

My symptoms were that it flickered uncontrollably for approx a minute, really quickly at first (so fast that the mouse would dissapear) then slowly flicker less and less per second as such until it settled.

I tried drivers, and then after dismantling and reseating the card and removing all cables to the monitor thougt I had resolved it, but it quickly returned and after testing it on my TV, found it was the TFT itself and so I replaced it by buying one from someone called 'NintendoJoe' from these very forums.

Yes it was the monitor itself lol, I forgot I had a VGA connection on my TV and tested that and it worked just fine.

...dont know why I said drivers, I didn't bother with them. Glad you got it sorted - any excuse to upgrade the TFT!
