My Dell monitor has developed a series of thin green parrallel lines down the left hand side of the screen and there appears to be some other colour distortion.
Is this likely to be the monitor packing up or maybe a software problem?

    Any ideas please?

Is it a CRT (older style Big \ deep ) monitor or LCD?

Could you borrow monitor to see if it is monitor or PC, could also be Graphics in PC.

    Can you describe distortion?

Its a new ish LCD and best i can describe is thin green parellel lines, say 6 lines down the left hand side of the screen. On pictures there is also some green line distortion where the lines run across the picture . These are basically scanning lines thickness if that makes sense.

    Thanks

Have you got the correct drivers installed for the monitor and graphics card? If so, call Dell right now and get a replacement.
