My sub started to Buzz after being switched on.my daughter said something went pop
There is still power to it.I don't want to get rid of the unit ,is it still fixable and will it be expensive.

Without getting inside it, it is difficult to say.

Does it still play Bass noise, or just sit there and hum. If it still plays noise then yes if you can find someone who can work at circuit level on electronics, then it is probably a simple, single component that has failed.

The question will then be, how long it takes to find the fault, find a replacement and replace it, all of which costs over the cost of, unfortunately, just buying a replacement.

We have an excellent little workshop near us (Tring, Herts) who could do it, be deffinately a dying breed.
