How do these compare in any way you can think of. The Aegis package would be the Aegis One with the matching Centre and the Compact Satelites.

I am tempted to use the Aegis Compact Satelites with the front three from Monitor Audio as I don't want big rears. Any thoughts folks?

I am considering an immenemt purchase of the Harmon Kardon AVR4000 reciever with either the denon 1000 DVD for its sound quality or the new Toshiba 210E which has the better RGB picture.

I am building an IPL subwoofer to go with the above.

Also of interest would be any comments on how the Ruark Vita 100 Satelites would compare with the above two speaker packages.

    Many Thanks

I'm running Monitor audio silver 9i's, 12i centre and FXi bipolar rears with an Arcam DV88 and AVR100 and all I can say is I'm very happy with them.

    3 things to consider though...

    1) They are a little bright so you will need a warm sounding system (Arcam is AOK)

    2) They need a lot of running in.

    3) You need a reasonably sized room. I bought mine just before I moved from my small roomed flat to my large roomed house, and the difference is massive, they sound so much better.

The bass response from these speakers is awesome, and as you need the best quality centre speaker you can get, you cannot go wrong with the 8.5 inch high, twin 6.5 inch driver behemoth that the 12i is!!!
