Finally managed to get some GS20's to match my centre so my RX6's in piano gloss black are up for grabs.

    Collection or possible delivery only.

Just noticed a very fine scratch on top of one the speakers which the camera wont pick up so reduced price

Please note Aardel's comments below relate to RS6's not RX6's

    Price and currency: £485
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: cash
    Location: Hull

I'm no expert but your pics are of RX6's and not RS6's so you might be underselling them.

Lesmallett, thanks for pointting that out. I won't be able to check till I get home tonight, but if that's the case I'll have to reconsider price.

In the meantime, if someone offers me current or thereabouts asking price before I get home to check, they're yours!

I bought these about three years ago when they were around 3 months old after the seller decided to go down the sat/sub route. Never been pushed (step daughters bedrooms above living room plus we live in a semi) powered by an Arcam avr 400. Sound awesome in 2 channel and with movieshttp://Monitor Audio Silver RX6 review from the experts at whathifi.com

    Sorry about that!!
Only upgrading cause I've been after some golds to match my centre speaker as shown in pics.
Definitely no scratches or chips. Maybe some very minor swirling which is normal for this finish but pics can't pic that up

Quite interested in these....I have 4 of these in Piano black already! But first, that cabinet looks rather nice, with the black top. Is it bespoke, or could you point me in the right direction? I have a 7.2 set up, but 2 of the speakers are not RX6s so, I'm thinking of a rejig here!

Got the av cabinet and matching sideboard/ record cabinet made at Cobweb Craft - Welcome
It's got a granite top and as you can imagine we were rather chuffed! Also allows me to mix and match components
Of course if you were to purchase the speakers you'd be able to see Them in flesh!!!

Looking at last RX6's sold went for £450 in walnut so thought asking price was fair

The grills are still packaged up so are obviously as new. The plinths are shown in the pics. Unfortunately it would appear I no longer have the spikes but I'm sure if that's the deal breaker I can get some. I have the original cloth covers and the boxes but not all the original inner packaging

Could really do with moving these on before my hols on Friday.

I'll throw in a couple lobsters so purchaser can treat their loved one for valentines day. I always find that sort of thought helps justify an upgrade

I just want to register my interest, how bad is the scratch?
    1) Do you still have the center or is it long gone?
    2) Have you managed to find the spikes?
    3) I live in Worksop, but could meet at Pontefract

I didn't notice the scratch until I moved them and sun light was shining on them in our study plus my camera won't pick it up, so very minute.
I sold the centre last year when I managed to get the gold version in anticipation of the gs20's.
Don't have the spikes but either MA will sell them or they presumably can be got on eBay.
Could meet you somewhere or I could wangle work so I'm working in Retford Wednesday or Thursday

Wednesday or Thursday after 5pm would be great. As I live about 5-7 miles from Retford and you have to come this way to get to the A1 on your way home, I could make you a cup of coffee and do the hand over at my house rather than in some dodgy layby. How does this sound?

Sounds good to me. I would rather you saw them first and if your not happy I can relist them.
So are we agreed on price and in a position to move over to pm?

Sounds good to me, obviously, if the scratch is too bad in my opinion, then I reserve the right to pull out of the sale.

I only ever make one offer and always try to offer the best price that I feel I am able.

So, reading the link to the thread you posted (if I read it right) the last set sold for 380 pounds which included the courier at the sellers cost, they had the spikes and immaculate. The spikes are a special shape and can only be supplied by Monitor audio, so I will have to buy them and then theres the scratch.

So, I feel the best possible price I can offer is 330 pounds, we can eaither meet up or you can come to mine, its upto you, but I will pay in cash.

Hope your happy with the offer

    Regards
    Tony

Is delivery an option on the speakers? It would be down south so I guess a courier would be the way to go. If so can you give me a rough delivery price?

Edit: I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has has looked as is potentially interested if they can be delivered to south London.

    Hi Tony
Thanks for the offer but Im afraid its too low. The link were for speakers finished in walnut which were around £200 less than the piano black. I think we could probably rule out the scratch as its so minute.

Timmy-Im afraid I wouldnt want to courier them as I dont have the internal packaging. I will be travelling to Loughton in Essex after Febuary half term break though so could possibly meet up

That's a shame. My friend isn't a forum member and even if he joins now he won't have classified posting privileges which means I would have to be a go between and I'm a little uneasy putting my account on the line if the transaction isn't straight forward. I will have a word with him though and maybe post again if something could easily be arranged.

I would be interested in £400 delivered....but if you don't want to send them, I can quite understand! I'm in the Wirral so if you're down Chester area any time, please advise. The last set of these in piano black , I bought new last September at £750 from a hi fi shop, even though they were listed at £880, as apparently they were due to be replaced.

Hi keelby I know that the RRP was increased by a certain amount, but my friend didn't have to pay the increased cost when he purchased his piano black one....dont know why and can't prove it, I just have to take him at his word.
If its any good, I'll increase my offer to 350 pounds, paid in cash, no hassle and you wont have to worry about them getting damaged by a courier.

I'll even throw in a custard cream with the coffee.

    Regards
    Tony

Sounds like your friend got a bargain Tony but Im afraid despite your kind offer of a custard cream, I'll have to decline.
Found another link nearer my asking price, and again in Walnut

Thanks Keelby, thast quite and old link. I was factoring in 30 pounds to replace the missing spikes and therefore matching the price paid in your original example.

Normally Id say how about meeting us half way at £440 but cause your a Boro fan and must look enviously at our proud history and mighty support, I'll say £430 plus a chocolate hobnob.

Found this link that shows you'd be getting them for less than half the new price.
