Monitor Audio Bronze 7.1.4 Speaker Package (CAN SPLIT) 2x Bronze 5 Floorstanders + Bronze Centre + W10 Subwoofer + PSB Imagine XA Black Oak

It's time for my next upgrade so, for sale is my much loved Bronze 7.1.4 speaker system.

Current RRP going by Richersounds and Sevenoaks (who sells the PSBs), for the entire set, would cost you £2,633, so you'd save £1,233, purchasing the entire 7.1.4 system.

Will happily split speakers, please see prices below.

This system if the culmination of a lot of time, research and effort and has been the very best I have ever had my home cinema sounding. Amazing speakers for the money.

Demo welcome, I am based in London SW11.

£1,400 for the entire 7.1.4 or priced as follows,

£350 Monitor Audio Bronze 5 Floorstanders PAIR Black Oak - purchased NEW from Exceptional AV Nov 17, full warranty

£340 Monitor Audio Bronze 5 Floorstanders PAIR Black Oak -purchased second-hand from first owner who purchased it early 2017, full warranty

£115 Monitor Audio Bronze Centre Black Oak - purchased NEW from Exceptional AV Nov 17, full warranty

£350 Monitor Audio W10 Subwoofer Black Oak - purchased NEW from Exceptional AV Nov 17, full warranty

£250 PSB Imagine XA Dolby Atmos Modules - purchased NEW from Sevenoaks Jan 18

£250 PSB Imagine XA Dolby Atmos Modules - purchased NEW from Sevenoaks Jan 18

SOLD Bronze 1 - previously forgot to add price (was in title above)

    Condition:

    - All speakers apart from 2 sets, are as new.
    - All speakers purchased in the last 2 months and all include their full warranty.
    - No packaging for any speakers.
    - Speakers come with applicable accessories: Spikes, plinths, grill baffles, dampening pads, tools and manuals.
    - The additional pair of Bronze 5s are missing 2x black and 2x red buttons for binding posts, but this is very minor and not needed at all for function.
    - One PSB module has a very small chip to the veneer, at the back, top right corner. Hardly noticeable, even up close.
    - Monitor Audio Bronze 1 PAIR Black Oak - £100 - purchased NEW Exceptional AV Nov 17
    - PSB Imagine XA Dolby Atmos Modules PAIR - £225 - purchased NEW from Sevenoaks Jan 18, full warranty

Notes on personal experience, comparing Bronze to Silver 300 + C350:

It is worth noting that I just tried the Silver 300 + C350 Centre (you can find my comments about them on a couple threads) and whilst I did note improved stereo performance, in surround sound, after extensive close and in depth testing, my friend and I could note but a few very minor differences in performance. And this is paired with the flagship Yamaha A3070. And in fact, in my room, the Bronze 5s sounded better. Silvers are being returned today.

It has been noted by a few on AVS and avforums that there is really not much between the Bronze 5s and last years and this years Silvers, especially for home theater. It really goes to show just how great these speakers are and I only truly realised why they are so highly revered and awarded, after comparing them to the Silvers. Please note, this is my personal opinion. Would have gladly kept this system.

It became apparent that I need to jump much further up the price ladder to best the Bronze 5s. Thus, I have figured out and planned my next upgrade, which are to be the Kef R500s x 2 pairs, R200C or R600C, R300 and SVS SB2000. Needless to say, this will also newly accommodate a power amp into my chain, being an Emotiva, Parasound, Cyrus or the like. This sale is to help part fund/ re-coup funds for this upgrade.

    Personal Recommendation on Set-up:

I personally and highly recommend going all floorstanders - tweeters all at ear level - in any surround set up, and is now my personal favourite way to build a system, having only ever used bookshelves as rears, 2 - 3 feet above ear level, for years. It is truly the ideal, for me. The quality and coherence of soundstage, immersion and wow factor for me, is unmatched. Again, this system is the culmination of a lot of time, research and effort and has been the very best I have ever had my home cinema sounding. It's been extremely fun.

From a smoke and pet free home.

Most of my new Kef system are arriving tomorrow. Silvers did not do much for me, remember? Did not feel much to anything was between the Bronze 5 and Silver 300 in surround sound. Bronze 5s also sounded better in my room; integrating with my system better, but most likely due to having had some run-in time/ Silvers did not. It was mainly marked stereo improvement, for me. That, and I can't stand the new Silver's aesthetics: Cone colour, but mostly the tear drop and tweeter really jar me, as much as I tried to like it.

Thank you and again, and all the best.

I eventually found the language to possibly be Czech, Google translates it as,

"OK, but it's expensive. On Peter Tyson. I made an offer. Audio Bronze Monitor 6 7.1 speakers and receiver 1080, 1650 pounds".

But again, just a gist, for me. Please can you translate your message, @Meli?

You seem to be a guy in the know.

I have a full q acoustics system (front floor standers, center, rear bookshelf) my sub (tannoy t10 i think) is making farting noises on deep rumbles.

Would this sub be too over powering? My main use is for movies rather than music.

The last time I bought a sub from here it only had lfe inputs and didn't seem to work properly with my onkyo amp, so would just like to confirm that this does just wire up with a twin rca from the amp and a power lead?

Understood- I was letting you know the thinking behind my offer and thought it a little harsh to draw attention to your eBay prices given they’re actually less than on here in some cases, but as you wish.

Edit- Ahh, I see you’ve now bumped the price of the centre on eBay. I’ll leave you to it.

You seem to be drawing a lot of attention to my eBay listings, regardless.

I upped my eBay listing before I saw your message, not that that matters.

This is not true, I would appreciate if you did not defame my advert. Note, all selling platforms are different. But again, irrelevant - I won't get drawn into debate.

Good morning @pugme, I had to settle untruths being said, first, very irritating.

Sorry, I really do not know. Wish I could help. I'm not an expert. I advise opening a question thread, plenty of knowledgeable and kind members here. However, "farting noises", could be a blown driver. Or yes, overblown settings - what do you have it set to - is there a gain/ vol knob on the back? What is the AVR set to for the sub? And what are your crossover(s) set to? Lastly what is the room environment? All things to consider, I would assume.

Do you mean the W10? One RCA/ Phono to AVR/ amp + power lead.

I hope you get your sub sorted.

I have no wish for debate either and can’t quite understand why this has become...emotional. The centre speaker was indeed less on eBay at the time of posting and this was simply what I based my offer on.

All the best with the sale and I hope the upgrade is good.
