I have a Cambridge receiver and unfortunately my split system air conditioner dripped water into it and now when I turn it on it says reset and then switches off to stand by. There is no visible moisture any more but do I have any hope of salvaging it and what method might I use?

Thanks in advance.

While it might be damaged there is something you can try. Remove the electricity plug!!!! Open the case up and see if you can see the circuit boards. If you can see the circuit boards they can be cleaned with isopropol alcohol. The 2 problems that water creates are that the water conducts electricity and can short out the components and when it has dried it leaves mineral deposits that can still cause shorts. Its these deposits you may be able to remove by cleaning.

Good luck and make sure power is disconnected at plug.
