I have a DAB+ head unit (Sony cdx-dab700u) with window mounted aerial. I have hidden the whole thing behind the A-pillar and get about 80% reception. Can I either make the copper wires longer or add another 2 wires in parallel to improve reception? If so, which is likely to work best? I assume it has to be shielded wire? Will the thickness of the wire make any difference?
I did have it windscreen mounted but had the windscreen replaced so it will no longer stick to the window. I was thinking of passing it through the roof to the other side A-pillar and hiding it there. I realise the metal of the car is interfering with the signal but would like to exhaust the possibilities of trying to hide it and still have it work.
    Thanks for any help...
