    Hi there.
I'm just looking to move from pay as you go to contract and as I'll be getting a fairly decent phone, thought it might be worth getting some insurance. I'm going with T-Mobile and they offer insurance for £5.99 a month. Is this a good rate or would it be cheaper to get it sepaately from a mobile insurers website?
Can anyone recommend any good insurance websites?
    Cheers!

I don't know about the best deal, but would advise you to check the schedule carefully, as some policies limit what they will pay or the number of claims you can make.

Don't necessarily compare prices - make sure you compare the cover too.

Also, if you have a household insurance policy, your phone may be covered on that.

    Thanks for your reply!
If I lose my phone while I am out, would it be protected under my home insurance do you think?

I'm with 02 which is £4.99 per month.

You can specify items on your house insurance that you want to be covered when they are out of the home. I did this with my first digital camera a few years ago. But they probably have a clause against mobile phones as they are so commonly lost, stolen, damaged etc.

You would have to check your particular schedule, but generally household insurance does cover your property whilst with you outside of your house.
