So, the wife does not like the SoundBar on top of the Sky HD+ box, is there anyway I can put the Sky box in a cupboard behind closed doors, but still be able to use the remote without opening the doors?

By the way, I have the wife and her mum her for Christmas, oh yes livin the dream, do you remember the Elm Street series?

you can put the sky box out of the way & just use a small magic eye ...

you should allow adequate ventilation for the sky box in an enclosed location.

What is this sound bar?
I don't think it's a good idea to put a Sky machine into an enclosed space, but you can easily control it there with any wireless IR extender, or with the wired type aka "magic eye" - run a Google search for the wide range of them.

It's actually a very poor alternative, or everyone would have one.

Of course, it's very wife friendly! :smashin:

I agree that they are not a patch on a full speaker set but are much better than relying on the tv speakers :smashin:
The biggest bonus like you say is they are definately wife friendly and that is something that cannot be overlooked :rotfl:

Yes, I know about that kind of sound bar - I thought he was talking about something that was part of the PVR!
I wouldn't want to put anything on top of it, and wouldn't want both in an enclosed space.
