MMO games allowed to require a hard disk

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted already as it's a week old but at Gamefest 2007, Microsoft outlined the way in which developers can mandate a hard disk.

The policy is still in flux but this post gives you an idea of what to expect.

Note that Xbox LIVE! Silver membership will allow you to play MMOs (which is nice).

There was a football manager game many months back that required a hard disk, so that bent rule isn't new. I think what we have here is a new set of guidelines for server based MMO's.

Both Football Manager 2006 and and 2007 do require the HD
