MKV streaming - Samsung BDC 6800 connected to Popcornhour

I want to play MKV files stored on a USB stick on my PS50C6900 but get a "Audio not supported" message straight away. Has anyone tried streaming or playing MKV files on their Samsung 6***, 7*** or 8*** 3D TV's? I rang Samsung support but got nowhere with them (the rep started to help me by first asking me to do a Factory Restore! I knew this wasn't going to go anywhere as soon as she said that).

I have tried MKV files will all types of audio codecs - AAC, AC3 and DTS and get the same behavior. Needless to say, DivX files play properly.

I have a ue46c8000 and it plays mkv no problem Dolby digital dts. PCM the only problem I had was with a mvk with a true hd sound track

Look in your manual and it should tell you what your tv supports

Thanks for your reply. Manual states MP3/AC3/LPCM/ADPCM/DTS Core are supported, which covers 99% of the audio codecs found in MKV. Anyone out there with a Samsung c6*** series?
