Hi, while I’ve started a home cinema build thread, in retrospect, one of the questions may be better here.

In a 5.1 config, Is it ok to put tripoles on the back wall behind the main listening position?

    I’m considering an MK MP950 LCR + SUR95T (or M4T) for rears.

One of the key considerations to this project is discrete speaker design and placement. At the moment, that means on-walls and the attached layout is preferred. In-walls, while still on the table as a possibility, may prove problematic as it’s a period property with brick/stone walls.

    Thanks in advance.
    Tom

Yes, that will be absolutely fine.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was a little confused about the (claymore-esque) “this side towards screen” directions on the back of the speakers.

I assume as long as they’re in phase it’s all good? Ie. the arrows point at the listening position.
