As an owner of one of these already, I could not resist that great deal and bought a second one on impulse, and have used two of them for the last few year while I have not had a dedicated cinema room as they are such good sounding speakers, getting my room setup now so selling one!
To be honest they are both mint so I not sure which is which, but I paid a grand for the first one, so think less than half current rrp price is a fair deal regardless? Recent sales have been around what I am asking.

Hi Mate, hope you're well! You bought some MK MP150's off me a while back in Bristol? Good to see you are still tinkering! Am tempted by this to try out in our lounge to minimise, few questions. Where did you find most acceptable crossover? They say they go down to 80hz but assume this won't be the best crossover? Also how would this compare to a front three of say a similar RRP value? Would be running it with anthem 310 and MK sub. Cheers!

    Hi Chris
I remember you well, hope you and the family are all in good health. Thanks for the interest in this soundbar.

I never stop tinkering, and working on another dedicated room is keeping my hand in. I've owned and heard many hi performance setups, there are a few key reasons why I like this Supercinema bar in particular.

    1) Excellent Sound Performance - it truly performs like a quality set of separates rather than a soundbar, but aesthetically looks so much cleaner under the TV than a separates solution
    2) It has a very high quality precision engineered finish that exudes luxury, the soft curves of the oval shape, the slimness and the hi-grade piano metallic finish sits comfortably with the finish of flat TVs. Even the wife likes it...which is unheard of for a speaker.

    My setups were
Anthem MRX 300, Q7000i subwoofer and satellites, used as a 5.1 setup
    Marantz 7010, M&k dxd808 sub, with mk4t rears.

With both systems I had the crossover set at 90hz, I remember trying it at 80hz, but I felt that was a tad too low, in the same way as 80hz also seemed a bit low for the mp150s. You will need a sub for the effects, but it goes sufficiently low that dialogue is not pushed out to that much.

The Supercinema produces a very accurate and detailed soundstage, the clarity is exceptional, and you can hear every nuance, in many ways like the mp150's. The sound is clear and crisp throughout the entire range, and dialogue is especially good. It does not have the dynamic power of the MP150's, but it certainly has the clarity. It is a significant performance upgrade to a seperates set like the Q7000i range, but it does not go as loud or as high a true cinema performer as the mp150s set. However secondhand at the equivalent of less than £200 per speaker, rather than the £600 per speaker of the secondhand MP150s it probably equates to a £400 speaker, certainly it doubles the performance any £200 equivalent speaker I've tried and has the look for tv use and a high WAF.

I agree with the review that the soundstage appears wider than the supercinema dimensions, apparently due to cross-aural phase thingy, but I found this does confuse the speaker phase detection and you need to manually override that during speaker setup.

Finally, I (my wife) preferred the Q7000 as supporting surround speakers as the shape, works well with the supercinema.

    Hope that helps

Cheers mate, thanks for such a detailed response, appreciate it. Yes me and family are well thank you. Kids getting older now so less prodding of speaker drivers! Ok that gives me something to think about, my only sub positions have a null around 90-100hz so ideally I need something thats still beefy at 80hz to crossover sweetly. Let me have a think and get back to you, again thanks for the reply. Top man.

    Chris

    Dimensions 49˝ W x 4-3/4˝ H x 2-3/4˝ D

I see you have the q7000i and marantz AVR like I have used myself, I also used the original L&R q7000i as front heights to move the dialogue central to the TVs screen, which worked well.

    4.75 inches =120.65 millimetres
And I expect that exact, It's all packed up, but to measure to that accuracy I'd probably need a micrometer rather than a tape measure which I don't have...can't you find another 1mm

Ps just thought about it, and the curved rear shape means the height of the part directly against the wall is much less than the full height, how would you mount it and how far out is your TVs front. I can measure my other one, although it's at our holiday home so not till the weekend.

Ahh, I see, you have two options.
    A) the supplied adjustable feet attach to the back, and the speaker sits on its front edge, and they are adjustable to position the speaker angle. So for such a small mm amount I would imagine you could slope the speaker back to reduce the overall height by 1mm.
    B) failing that if you attached a couple of 120mm tall wooden blocks to the speaker mounting points it would slide back in as far as it could go, 120mm, it may slide fully bask if the gap is 121mm, worse case it would be proud of the front of the cabinet.

Just measured and I have exactly 120mm to play with, don't want it protruding from the space in the stand, is the height quoted on the specs with the feet attached? I'm wondering if it will be slightly lower without the feet? If you could measure I would appreciate it as I can't make an offer without knowing this, cheers

Sorry for the delay, I've now measured and it is 120mm, so unfortunately likely won't fit, thanks for your interest anyway.

Thanks for the offer, but recent s150T sales have been around £1000 and considering the age, condition and brackets included of these, I think these are already bargain at £900, so I expect they won't be here long at this price.

Hi mate, am still interested in this and am willing to give it a try in my room but can only offer £360 delivered - the same price you bought one of yours for, just so I can sell it on at the same price quickly if it doesn't work out. I'll leave that offer on the table for you to think about, let me know, cheers, Chris.
