    Can't decide on which one.

The MJ has a digital Xover frequency and 20w extra watts.

I had the Ref 100 in my house and loved it.
I heard the Quake in a few mates systems and loved it too, and they prefered the Quake,
Opinions are divided with those who tried both.

    What do you guys think?

It's going to be used in my current stereo system with Hi-level, and then in my future AV system, with both Hi and Low-level.

Can I set Hi-level freq on the REf 100 and simultanous low-level operation?

    Thanx guys!

No even an answer guys...?

Can at least anyone tell me if the MJ Ref 100 Crossover button acts over the Hi-Level only or the Low-level frequency cut-off too

    Please... :)

Does it have to be one of these two subs?

Have you looked at the BK XLS200? I've have been told it is as good as the MJ Ref 200 for sound quality, and thats a £650 unit.

Having bought one myself, I can quite believe it is as good as the hype.

For £280 you cant fall off

Falp, do you think you could get the BK XLS200 over there?

I'm sure BK do international deliveries :)

It would give you equivalent performance of the two you mention at a much cheaper price.

Of the two you mention, I prefer the MJ sound.

I wouldn't say it is as good as the Ref 200, but it comes very close :)

Considering it is £371 cheaper than the Ref 200, that definitely wins it the Performance per pound award :D You could buy TWO BK XLS200's and STILL save money over the purchase of one Ref 200

Never heard of BK around here...

Does it work simultaneously in Hi and Low Level?

    Well... it's an option...

But I would prefer REL or MJ for various reasons... even resale value and many interested people...

Yes, the BK XLS 200 does send to Portugal at a great price ans seems interesting in the DF version...

And so does Hi and Lo connection like the REL/MJ...

What's the story behind BK? Are they a serious brand?

BK actually manufacture many other big name branded subwoofers. Their little BK XLS200 sub is very good. BK also have great customer service too, I believe they are also a forum sponser (or at the very least advertise here).

There are also many happy owners, I've been so impressed with it that I've actually bought one too, the build quality is very impressive for the price. My one is still running in, so will give it a mini review once it has. Will be putting it in my 2nd system in the bedroom, or using it to boost the centre channel dynamics.

Does the Xover Frequency selecton acts over the low-level input?

If it does it's a point against it, like the MJ REF 100...

A drawback not present in the REL Quake.

I believe the X-over is adjustable for both high level and low level.

I'll double check when I get home, but I'm sure it is.
