I'm gonna be buying a sub soon and these were the two I was considering - shame you can't demo the BK.

What about the REL Quake? Does anyone know how this compares to the Ref100 (these are two subs I can demo)?

Is the Sidney Acoustics AR-12, it's made in Israel and his limited marketing in France.

    http://www.sidney-acoustics.com/ar12.php

Be patient with the link it can be slow. It sells for c. €500 in France, which puts it broadly competitive with the XLS200.

Basically a down firing slot loaded refelx cabinet about 41cm*41cm*44cm and with a 200W amp. It's getting good comments on the French AV forums.

If any here know it, please chip in.

I tried both of these and decided the XLS is the clear winner. It performs much better and is considerably cheaper. What more could we possible ask for?

I have the MJ Acoustics Ref 100 and it's a great little sub that is very controlled fast and I am happywith it's performance......I have the Ref 100 on low level phono to phono connection Tannoymx10 hooked up to my centre speaker (as suggested by MJ acoustics site) via speaker cable
(high level) output to sub.....The results have been very good and I am amazed that my centre channel has come alive as described on the MJ Acoustics site...didn't even need a neutrik lead....
The Ref100 is great on both movies on low end and very fast at keeping up with music....the control it has means a very tight bass authoratative but never booming.....my room size is approx 4 metres by 3 metres....
    my system is

    Tannoy M3 FRONTS
    Tannoy M3 REARS
    Tannoy MR FRONT EFFECTS
    Tannoy MC Centre
Tannoy MX10 SUB (hooked up to the centre via speaker cable)
MJ Acoustics ref 100 (hooked via amp via low level phono sub lead)
    Yamaha AX2 Home Cinema Amplifier
    Sony 905 MR dvd player
    Panasonic 610 video
Ecosse reference Producer Digital coaxial Lead
    Qed Sqart leads
    Cabletalk 3.1 speaker lead
    QED speaker lead

    hope this helps

    regards
    swartzy
