Hello, I have a Sony XBR49X900E (not sure the exact HDMI version but HDMI 2.0b according to some reviews), a Samsung HW-Q90R soundbar (HDMI 2.0 according to some reviews) and a HDMI matrix (supports HDMI 2.0, 2.0a and 2.0b according to the manufacturer). I have been using several high quality HDMI 2.0 cables which the manufacturer said only supports 2.0 not 2.0a nor 2.0b. If my computer source can support HDMI 2.0b or 2.1, will I see improvement in image and sound qualities if I replace all the HDMI 2.0 cables to HDMI 2.1? Does having some older HDMI 2.0 cables along the chain affect the image and sound qualities?

@av2av Ignore HDMI version numbers on cables and instead look for the official Certification classification - HDMI Cables - Different Cable Types

Unless your current cables (no matter the age, label etc) are delivering an image with very obvious flaws like signal drop out, flashing pixels, pink colour cast… save your money and use the cables you already own.
