I'm currently looking at upgrading my centre speaker which is a cheap no name thing.
I've just upgraded to m74i fronts and was wondering if anyone knew if there were problems running an m5 centre (tone etc), which I've heard great things about with these, as opposed to the m7c1 or 2 the first of which I've heard is poor the second better, but not as good as the m5.
I really want something that can pin the vocals down convincingly, but that will also work well when when steering sound round the front end.

    Cheers Fred

The M5 has a different tone to the M74i's and will match ok only. I would pick up a pair of M72i's and use one on it's side as a centre. Same tweeter and same size woofer cone too. Almost perfect matching tone (you need another M74i for that unfortunately)
