    Hi all,

As Ive just bought a 3D epson from here i thought Id move my trusty Mitsi on.
This will NOT be going on the bay ever - I only wish to sell it on to another forum member.

I bought this from here( see link below)

For Sale - Mitsubishi HC5000 Projector - Mint Condition | AVForums

Its still in the same faultless condition.

It has done around 4000 hours - I HAVE reset the lamp timer as it kept flashing on screen and annoying me!!(just being honest)

I use this almost daily and Its a brilliant machine. The bare bulbs can be had for between $45 and £65 quid so its not a big deal - It still works fine and these bulbs are good for over 5000hrs.

I watched Avengers assemble last night and the Sochi games too and the picture is fine.

This is a great great PJ and I will ONLY sell here or to Family if it doesnt sell here.

Any questions will be answered to my best ability :)

Any member with less than 5 feedback must provide alternative feedback before their offer will be considered.

    Thanks

    Price and currency: 300
Delivery: Delivery cost is not included
    Payment method: BT / PPG
    Location: Manchester

I'm interested but because of it's age and the price of a new bulb then I could only offer you £150 collected.

    Hi,

Interested in this PJ but 4000 hours is quite a lot and other than the lamp usage there is also the wear on the auto iris and panels to consider.

I'm sure it's been well looked after but taking the above into account would like to offer £175 and I will pay for any P&P.

    Let me know

    Thanks

Hi#I am interested, but the bulbs I've found for sale are £115 upwards. Where can you get them so cheap?

Pity, I'm only in Tyldesley and could have dropped the cash off so no faffing around with postage, can't find any decent bulbs for less than £120 and certainly no originals, if you reconsider drop me a pm.
    Thanks

Based on the fact it will need a new bulb soon at about £120 for an original I'd like to offer £200 including delivery.

    Sorry that's too low.
    LCD panels don't wear out.
    The iris works perfectly.

Projectors were built to lat more than 1 bulb life.

Again I reiterate that the bulb is fine.
    Perfectly watchable.

Lowest id go is 250 collected.

    Hi,

However 4000 hrs is still a lot of hours and there will indeed be wear and tear on other parts such as fan, prism block, motorised iris etc etc. LCD panels particularly the blue can become prone to reduced contrast.

A genuine bulb/housing will cost approx £225 Genuine Mitsubishi VLT-HC5000LP Projector Lamp to fit HC5000 Projector A decent quality bulb only such as an Osram or Philips £120+ The £45 ebay ones are usually very low quality generics and very probably won't do the PJ justice in many regards.

As you can see all this has to be considered for a PJ of this age and usage.

How does £200 plus P&P sound?

    Thanks

Thanks for the offer but it's 25 pounds to post safely.
I think the 250 collected is a fair price.
If you can come close to that I'm sure we're cab work something out.

Hi, I'd be reluctant to go further due to all the reasons I've stated. If it helps I can pay and arrange for the postage. In the meantime will leave my offer of £200 for you to consider.

    Thanks

Once you've added the delivery, import VAT and customs charge, that comes to almost £100, so it isn't a massive saving over getting one in UK.
I'd pay £350 for this if it had a new bulb, so based on a new bulb from ebay UK costing £112 I'll offer £238 inc delivery.

I get what you say about the picture still looking great, but a lot of places say the bulb life is 4000 hours, so from a buyer's perspective, to all intents and purposes, it needs a new bulb.

    Thanks but that's too low.

I've had several pj's and ,barring the Epson 3d I've just got, the Mitsubishi was the absolute best!
I feel my price is fair and pretty cheap!

I got this info from .....

Mitsubishi HC5000 Home Theater Projector Review

In addition to the HC5000's zoom range flexibility, it also offers powered vertical and horizontal lens shift. The vertical shift lets you move the projected image up and down a full 2.5 picture heights from top to bottom. At its neutral position, the centerline of the lens intersects the center of the projected image. Practically speaking, this means the projector can be either ceiling mounted or placed on a rear shelf, whichever is more convenient for the user. Ceiling mounting may require you to use the extreme end of the verticallens shift range, particularly if the projector is mounted flush with the ceiling. At the extreme ends of the shift range the lumen output is reduced by about 10% but there is no perceptible compromise in image quality or brightness uniformity.

Though vertical shift range is extensive, horizontal shift is quite modest in range. From the neutral position the image can be shifted left or right not more than 5% of the picture width. This enables you to easily make small adjustments to fill a fixed screen, but the projector must be placed on a perpendicular line that is close to the horizontal center of the screen.
