Has the body of an Optoma H77. With lots of extra features added (adjustable wheel speed, black level setting, lens shift).

    3 yr warranty.

I have the feeling that this PJ could be very very good, but because Mitsubishi is not recognised as a normal PJ player, it may be getting overlooked.

    Thoughts?

Optoma H77 has the same lens shift so possibly just the colour wheel speed as the difference....I've not seen the official RRP for the Mitsubishi but it seems to coming in at over £4800 as against £3500 for the H77. I'm not sure if the differences are worth the extra £1300.

Either way I can't wait to see (and not hear ;) ) either one of these.

With Mitsubishi not having a name in the pj market i would have hoped that they would come in with a lower rrp than the Optoma then it could really haver been a killer pj.

Like Iain though i cannot wait to see either in action or even a review.

<sigh> if only you could edit quotes too ;)

Seriously though I think Mits have been a bit caught out by Optoma slashing the price. I hope they revise theirs downwards too.

At such a low price in comparison to the competition you can't help but wonder if they have cut corners anywhere...the only thing I can see I have any doubts about is the unknown quantity of the pixelworks/trident deinterlacing and scaling. Might not be up to Faroudja standards, but initial reports sound encouraging.
