I took my wife to see the mission m73 and 74's today and she hated them so it looks like i'm back to square one.was going to combine them with the m72c and m7ds.But she insists on silver is there anything as good as these in silver folks help me out here please.I'm looking to combine them with a pioneer 811 or yamaha 640 and vx10 sub.I want floorstanders for music dvds.
ps.does anyone else have this problem with their wives.

Hello, i have the same problem everything was allright till we decorated the living room and now they just don't go.I'm going to keep the center and the rears and replace the fronts.I've got 2 choices silver or a darkish wood colour, try looking at the mission m5 series they have silver fronts.

I didn't mean literally buy the Ruark's. I meant would your wife prefer real wood veneer speakers, rather than cheap & tacky silver?

bob ... don't know what your budget for the speakers is ... but how about the KEF Q-series or Quad L series speakers with wood finish.

ok I've been recommended the m70's to try and please the wife but i'm afraid of a big compromise in sound considering i play a lot of music dvds, they are 75w per speaker instead of 100 and how good is the sub? Want to crank up my new led zep dvd:D :D

The m7 series is good for the money and you can get good discounts if you look around. Good luck, I'm sure you are keeping her happy and you are a tolerant man - I for one would never let me other half choose my HiFi... ;)

ok guys sorry his is dragging on but my missus takes a lot of persuading, i really like the mission 70 pack but was thinking of buying four m70s plus the m7c2 centre and mission/velodyne sub.Would the mission centre go with the lower m70s and what budget sub do u recommend. Was going to put it with either pioneer811,marantz 5300 or ymaha 630/640.These amps are 100 watts per channel whereas the speakers are 75w per channel would they be ok and would 75wpc be enough,
Bear in mind i wont use it for cd play but play mostly rock music dvds very loudly(led zep, genesis ,floydetc) and action films.
my budget is 700 max and my listening area is 12 ft by 16 and room is 12ft by 24ft.
    cheers guys
