Hi
I have the Mission 70's Speakers but wonder if it's worth Shelling out for the Mission Centre as I have only the little M70 as my Centre Speaker

Nah. I wouldn't bother. The M7C1 is a good size and shape for many people, but sound-wise it's a bit strangled IMO. If you have 3 x M70 up-front, you have a perfect match already. Am I on the right track here?

I'm not so sure about that. Because of the nature of the sound that is required to be re-produced by the centre speaker, it is a better idea to have a specialised centre speaker. The Mission M7Ci is acoustically matched to the other M70's range, so it should have no other problems acoustically.
Not that you have to, but I know what I would prefer to have for my centre speaker.
Regards,
Jake.

I found the M7C1 to be an improvement over the Mission 70 (predecessor of the M70) it replaced.

I've not compared it against a newer M70 mainly as I don't own one, and have now replaced it with a M7C2 anyway.

The m7c1 centre is a bigger (longer) than a normal centre and is almost arc shaped, thus delivering a good spread of sound. It is magic at picking up tit bits on soundtracks that I have never heard before. For instance, when the sniper scene arrives in Private ryan, I heard the german breathing in the bell tower for the first time and I have watched that movie-well...god knows happy many times.
Dialouge is clear, crisp and well held. I have found it is slightly quieter than my last centre but this is easily over come by increasing the db by about +2.

Cap:)
