can any one tell me if these are anygood for rear speakers

Rear as in a 7.1 or 5.1 setup?

Certainly for a 5.1 they are very good. Depending on your room size/ setup will dictate if di/ bi/ mono pole speakers are the best. As a general rule for films di pole are best, for multichannel music mono-pole is the best. Bi poles are somewhere between the two so some can think that they are too much jack of all trades and master of none. Personally I have owned 4 pairs of them so I certainly like them.
