    Hi

I'm interested in buying this subwoofer, does anyone have it ?

How does it compare to the REL Q200E ( except price of course )

Which do you feel is the better of the two ?

    Cheers

It will almost certainly kick s**t out of the REL in every way, but that's surely not really the point. The Mission is huge comppred to the REL.

If you've got the space, buy the Mission.

    You recon ?

It's very hard to find any reviews on this fine looking thing !

I also doubt it if i can have a demo at any local shops.

Do you know who sells it the cheapest ? So far AVLand is the cheapest at £350.

Do you also think the M74i floorstanders will go nicely with this sub ?

I'm looking to get the following, i dunno if it all will work well together:

    M74i Floorstanders
    M72i For surrounds
    M5as Sub
On the centre i'm not sure yet

there a better setup than this ?

    Thanks

hi, i have just got a m5as sub m74i front, m73i rear(cheaper than m72i + stands). i'd recommend the mission m7c2 for center as this complments the others
teamed up with yam rxv630rds. what joy to hear a good movie and more than enough to annoy the neighbours.

    got my speakers at qed
sub from prc then to find like u it cheaper at av-land good job i got it on b/card as they will refund me under thier price promise.
amp from super-fi cables from hifi-cables

    hope this helps

I finally decided to go search for a place to demo this sub...

I managed to find a place nearby.

    My vedict:............................... WOW !!!!

I must say...i asked the guy to hook up the REL Q200E just to make my own mind up...

What can i say ...the Mission blew that small box out of the front door...I mean .....WOW....the bass is SOOOOOO LOOOOWWW !

The shelves shook as we watched a small clip from Star Wars.

Ant to top it all....he was using bog standard RCA cable ( those thin black ones !!! ).....a good quality cable shouldmake it even more dramatic !

I'm convinced now that the M5as is the way i'll go...More bass than i will ever need to handle !!!!!!

I will probaly go for the whole Volare range ( new model from Mission). Looks good and sounds great !!!!

    Cheers

Sounds to me like it was turned up too loud and that was distortion that was rattling the shelves.

I have a REL Storm and when that is set up correctly it provides power in abundance and doesn't rattle anything.

Sorry to disappoint you there mate.... it wasn't even turned up half way!!! And it wasn't even connected to the best amp out there !!!

The Q200E looked like an amateur to the M5as.

M5as had way deeper bass, and it was much more controlled... NO DISTORTION or flapping ( unlike the REL wich flapped like a headles chicken )......i checked it for myself ! Fact is the speaker was just removed from it's packaging, so it wasn't even played in yet !

I'll put my money on the Mission........ all the dealers i spoke to that sell both - agree that the mission gives way better bass performance than the REL, and i tend to agree with them after i heard it for myself !

I agree the REL must be a good sub when set up properly, but it needs alot of tweaking and tuning to get it right......why have the hassle ... just plug in the mission and away you go !!!! Bass for the masses !

Make up your own mind by listening to both in turn - side by side !

I've also heard from a few dudes the Mission M5 sub is an excellent sub for the money. Its an often overlooked product that is capable of more than many people expect.

As usual though, I'm sure brand snobbery against Mission may play its part here...
