Just Wondering what people think of the mission M5 range?
Heard them today and thought they were pretty good. Would cost me £750 with M53 as fronts, M5C as centre and M5DS as rears.

Any alternatives I should think of for around same price. Don't need a sub.

Mission M5 is a much overlooked product, they are simply stunning value for money, although the looks aren't to everyones taste! The Rears especially should have a much higher price tag than they do.

I demoed them briefly, just the front 2 floor standers and the center. They sounded pretty decent, it was only Star Wars Episode 1, so I have no idea for music. Lots of bass, the sub wasn't all that great but when Anikin took off in the fighter and it flew through the screen, the sound hit me right in the chest.

They were butt ugly however, so I took it no further.

I've just picked my M51 speakers up tonight for my stereo setup. Straight out of the box, they are sounding very good, musical, with excellent bass and timing, super smooth, highly detailed treble, a simply seductive sound IMO.

I compared them with B&W 602 S3, KEF Q1 and Quad 11L's, the Mission comfortably beat them all.

I think they look sexy in black, but thats just me...
