Watched this at the weekend, as it was on BBC1.

And the end chase scene thru the tunnel.......what a load of rubbish!!

The footage of the train was played backwards, the helicopter was so fake, and as for the helicopter going thru the tunnel following the train, and another train passing in the opposite direction......and it didn't crash??!?! didn't this helicopter have rotor blades??

I hate it when a scene is so over-the-top that it jars and you lose any sense of involvement in the story.

What bugged me in M:I 2 were the tyres on the bikes.
During the chase scene the tyres change 3 times (from a Bridgestone street tyre to some kind of cut slick to a dirt-tyre) !!
Not everone will notice this, but I did and it really bugged me...

Like the jump scene with the Shelby Mustang at the end of Gone in 60 Seconds. I always thought it would have been a better (more realistic) movie if they had left that scene on the cutting room floor...

    Lets think!

I saw the end - terrible

    1) TGV is French - supposedly UK
    2) Running wrong line - UK runs on left
    3) No overhead as TGV is overhead powered
    4) Poor model!
    5) Helicopter in tunnel - rubbish!!!!!!!!!

Cross channel uses Eurostar which are related to TGV but looks totally different, but this uses 3rd rail or overhead, there is overhead in the tunnels and also one line per tunnel.

The only helicopter which would fit is the Fergie story helicopter with 3 foot long blades

    IT'S HELI NOT HELE

What bugged me in Mission impossible was that it was a betrayal of the TV series, Jim Phelps must have done hundreds of missions, yet in the film he turned traitor, and mercilessly killed his own team off. It was like having a Batman movie and Batman starting killing innocent people off and Robin having to stop him, then having Dick Grayson take over as Batman. I think not.

I think this whole film would have been better on the cutting room floor. I thought my intial viewing was barred by a bad copy but alas no the dvd proved, yes it was ****, a good idea with no punch. If they had mixed it with the fast and the furious, now that would have been a movie. All I could say was Angelina Jolie :)

I thought the first half of Mission Impossible was outstanding, I thought it was going to be a really great film, but then the second half went down hill badly! And as for MI2, I thought it was genuinely one of the crappiest films of all time. :(
