Hughes are currently selling this set for £250 including VAT. I'm thinking of pairing these with a Yamaha 5640RDS. Any comments please.

Had a Demo yesterday:confused: and was told the offer was until December or when stock ran out, what ever was the sooner.

As for the Demo, I was really not sure it all sounded a bit flat to me. I did get the guy to put the same DVD sound track through a set of Kef 2005 and it was more to my liking, but then again, it was a lot more expensive. Back to the old drawing board.

You must remember that the Missions need to be run in for at least 24 hrs. If these were straight out of the box , then they do sound a little flat!

But given that RS are doing the bigger brother Denons at the same price (those being more or less a rebadged Mission FS2AV set), which are the better buy ?

Those speakers are not as good as the fs2 or even the fs1.
They are the reason i didn't sell the denon they were packaged with to anyone who didn't want to upgrade speakers later.
    Buy the fs1 or fs2.

But the transducers are the same (?). The subs may be different but the Mission sub was never lauded anyway.

possible, but the denon ones sounded awful to me whereas the fs2 was alright, at that price it's amazing value.
