Mission says that you can hang these dipole speakers 'upside down' on the wall (the brochure for the M5DS says that anyway), and provides the keyways for doing so.

If you do this the 'Mission' logo on them will b upside down. I was wondering if you could remove the name plate and turn it through 180 degrees ?

    Has anyone tried this ?

Ive got the 77DS rears and did try to see if the logo would move but to no avail. I have a feeling it would be the same for all.

There are supposidly some versions where the logo is attached by a pin and so it is possible to pull it off and then invert it. I have the M7ds and it would appear that they are glued on and so no options for switching

Hi Guys .... official response from Mission ....

"The badge is actually held on by 2 pins which push into the grille, it is possible to re-position it by using double sided tape!"

I think I'll leave well alone then :0)

I've got the 77ds and they are excellent, nothing to touch them when i first got them a few years back. Mission recommends placing them about 30 cms above ear height. Also to avoid confusion i think most if not all of missions generic rear speakers are in fact bipolar, not dipolar.

I must admit that i bought mine as a natural match to my fronts and the fact that i wanted bipolar speakers to get a more enveloping sound from movies (dont listen to multi-channel music at all)

Whilst I didnt audition them I am very happy with them (when the kids damaged my last pair I was in no doubt I wanted the same to replace them)
