Dunno if this warrants a separate thread to my other one, so I'm sorry if it doesn't.

Richer Sounds has a pair of Mission 77DS speakers for rears, but other dealers offer something called the Mission m7ds. Are these the same (look similar), or does one supersede the other?

    Thanks,

    Irf.

the mission m7ds are the newer version.
they have a greater power handling rating - 25 to 100 or 125 (i think) watts

No, they are from seperate ranges. The 77DS comes from the Mission 77 range of speakers including the 773e and shares their tweeter. The M7DS comes from the newer (cheaper) M7 range including the M73's.

IMO there is so little diff. between these two (very good) bipoles that I would be inclined to get the cheapest (or the 77ds if you want white)

It's been a while since I looked for mine but aren't the 77DS a lot larger than the M7DS?
